QC DC30 Sampson
The Hype is Real! We’re thrilled to introduce our latest offering: the legendary Sampson-Era Matchless DC30. This Quad Cortex pack captures the soul of one of our most cherished pieces—an original 1994 Matchless DC30, hand-built by the iconic Mark Sampson himself.
Over the years, the DC30 has become a staple for artists across genres, renowned for its three-dimensional tonal character. Channel 1, powered by a 12AX7 preamp, delivers a quintessential British tone—clean, dynamic, and rich, with a smooth transition into glorious, roaring overdrive. Channel 2, with its EF86 preamp, offers a distinct voicing, featuring natural compression and harmonically complex distortion when driven.
We’ve captured this amp across both channels—individually and jumped together—to capture every nuance. Additionally, we’ve included captures using two different speaker cabinets:
The original Matchless 2x12 loaded with a Matchless-modified Vintage 30 and Greenback.
Our custom Envy Cabinet, which, we have to say, takes this amp to a whole new level. It’s a match made in tonal heaven—seriously, the Envy cabinet breathes new life into an already magical amp.
Step into the tone that’s captivated guitarists for decades. With our Sampson-Era Matchless DC30 pack, legendary sound is just a click away.
This Quad Cortex capture pack is 38 of our best captures of this amp.
